Trump supporters call for Snoop Dogg boycott. Twitter’s response is hilarious.

If Snoop Dogg wanted to get a reaction out of Republicans when he shot a clown Donald Trump with a toy gun in his latest satirical music video, it seems to have worked.

In addition to the obligatory offended Trump tweet that the video provoked:

The “Lavender” music video has also sparked a boycott among many Trump supporters. If one surveys the #BoycottSnoopDogg hashtag, however, one thing becomes awkwardly apparent.

These people seem to be a bit… outside of Snoop Dogg’s targeted demographic.

Snoop Dogg seems to have lost a lot of middle aged white people who love authority and hate thugs — a truly coveted demographic within the notoriously rebellious rap game.

Critics of Trump hilariously lampooned the older white conservatives calling for a boycott of the West Coast rapper, pointing out that since they likely hadn’t purchased any of his music or bought tickets to any of his concerts in the ladt 25 years, they probably weren’t going to start anytime soon.

Liberals also expressed concern that at this rate, Trump supporters are going to run out of things to boycott. Trump supporters have previously called for a boycott of Starbucks, Hawaii, McDonalds, the musical Hamilton, and other popular cultural icons that have criticized Trump.

As of this writing, Snoop Dogg has not yet responded to the boycott. However, the legendary MC’s album sales are not expected to drop significantly as a result of a boycott organized by baby boomers in red states.
