Neil deGrasse Tyson just torched Trump with 8 epic tweets

Scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson shredded President Trump’s budget outline over the weekend as the best way to weaken America.

In a series of 8 blistering tweets, Tyson tweeted his criticism of the White House budget proposal to his seven million followers, saying that targeting science, the arts, public health programs, and public education will be harmful to the United States in the long run and hurt its stature in the world.

Tyson then lamented that were the Trump budget to be passed by Congress without alterations, the United States would become a nation empty of cultural achievements that inspire others. He also criticized Trump for his relentless insistence on surrounding himself with yes-men, calling it “the very best way to support and feed [Trump’s] delusions.”

In the budget proposal, “America First: A Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again,” Trump proposed severely cutting or eliminating a multitude of programs, including the National Endowment for the Arts, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Institutes of Health, the Environmental Protection Agency, and a wide variety of other programs and agencies that are meant to support low-income Americans.
