Bill O’Reilly — Fox News’ former top-rated anchor — is now jobless, and Twitter is having second and third helpings of schadenfreude.
After advertisers for The O’Reilly Factor started dropping their commercials following O’Reilly’s recent sexual harassment settlement in which he paid $13 million to five women who accused him of sexually predatory behavior, the conservative pundit’s fate seemed uncertain. On Tuesday night, the Wall Street Journal reported that Fox News was planning to oust O’Reilly from his perch as the network’s #1 anchor.
On Wednesday, O’Reilly’s firing became official.
Twitter had plenty of jokes, including how — now that he was a proven sexual predator kicked out of his job in TV — he was in an excellent position to run for President of the United States. Others celebrated O’Reilly’s firing alongside the news that Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) would not be seeking a sixth term in Congress, as well as right-wing commentator Tomi Lahren’s ongoing legal battle with Glenn Beck’s The Blaze.

Don't feel bad for Bill O'Reilly. As a rich, white sexual predator, he can always make a run for the White House.

Bill O'Reilly and Tomi Lauren walk into a bar.
And ask for applications.

The lesson Bill O’Reilly learned, albeit too late, is a serial sex abuser must know when to quit TV and run for president.

Others used O’Reilly’s unemployment to highlight his past offensive statements, particularly about former President Barack Obama somehow not being a “family values” president, despite the conservative host going down in flames for sexual harassment and the former president only marrying once and having no scandals. Others simply celebrated O’Reilly being jobless as an event worthy of song and dance, and found amusement in the fact that O’Reilly wasn’t even at work when he got the news his network was letting him go.
Remember when people like Bill O'Reilly claimed President Obama (married 24 years, zero scandals) was bad for morals and family values? pic.twitter.com/rYUfN51P4o

Hey, Bill O'Reilly, don't worry – I hear you can make up to $35/hr as a paid protestor.
