President Trump just treated his meeting with Hurricane Harvey victims as if he were at one of his campaign rallies, saying “What a crowd, what a turnout!” to a crowd of supporters, some of whom were recently displaced by the flooding.

Trump’s trip to Texas has been criticized by opponents for taking resources away from rescue efforts while the rains are still pouring. According to his aides, Trump has been keen to avoid the backlash endured by President Bush over his lax response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
And of course, Trump couldn’t resist finding a way to brag about his administration’s response to the hurricane, saying “We want to do it better than ever before,” adding that the storm was “of epic proportion.”
